“Amatxi” means grandmother or grandmother in Basque. This sweet name pays homage to these figures who transmit to us respect and love for the land, traditions and know-how.

Through its artistic elixirs, Amatxi honors this ancestral heritage and invites you on a journey to the essence of art, where art rediscovers its original purity and its connection with nature.

Genesis

An alarming observation

It all started with an awareness, an awakening shared with other enthusiasts: art, despite its beauty and power of expression, can have negative consequences on the environment and health. From microplastics from acrylic paints in our oceans, to invisible, yet harmful solvents … This reality pushed me to reinvent our practices. What if art could heal as much as it sublimates?

Two years of exploration, meetings and questioning have brought out this conviction: it is possible to create differently, sustainably, in harmony with our values.

Alongside curious children, artists eager for reinvention, and passionate scientists, we have rethought the formulas and tested tirelessly. This quest for symbiosis between artistic requirements and eco-responsibility has given birth to unique products that respect your health and the planet.

This research project gave birth to Amatxi, the first French brand dedicated to sustainable art . At the crossroads of tradition and innovation, in order to reconnect with authentic and conscious creation.

I hope that these artistic elixirs will awaken in you this original joy linked to pictorial creation, this precious moment when art becomes a bridge between oneself and the world.
